Dr. Suresh Mandava is a board-certified ophthalmologist fellowship-trained in refractive surgery, cornea, and anterior segment surgery. He has been practicing at Greenwich Ophthalmology Associates and has been the Medical Director of Fairfield County Laser Vision since 1998. He has been voted "Top Doctor" consistently in Connecticut Magazine, Greenwich, US News and World Report, and New York Magazine.
Suresh performs a wide range of procedures, including LASIK, PRK, epi-LASIK, refractive IOLs, cataracts, cornea transplants including DSEK, DMEK, and DALK, and pterygium excision. He has been recognized as an iLASIK and Crystalens Center of Excellence.
He graduated from Cornell University and received his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Greenwich Hospital. Serving as Chief Resident during his ophthalmology residency at Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital, Dr Mandava co-edited the MEETH Pocket Atlas of Ophthalmology. Suresh completed his refractive and corneal surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota, where he received the prestigious Heed Fellowship Award and became one of the first cornea specialists to be fellowship-trained in laser vision correction, including LASIK and PRK.
He has presented this research and served as faculty at numerous ophthalmic and refractive surgery conferences. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons.
