LASIK Surgery
LASIK reshapes the cornea using a precise laser to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. A thin corneal flap is created and lifted, the laser sculpts the surface beneath, and the flap is replaced without stitches. Most patients see clearly within a day.

LASIK, PRK, and our other refractive procedures can treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia, glasses dependence, and contact lens intolerance. If any of these affect your daily life, you may be a candidate.
Not everyone qualifies. Factors like age, prescription stability, pregnancy, certain corneal or autoimmune conditions, and severe dry eye can affect your eligibility. About 15% of the patients we evaluate do not meet our strict standards for surgery.
Your safety comes first. Dr. Mandava personally evaluates every patient, and if LASIK is not right for you, we will tell you and discuss better options.
