Dr. Jerry W. Tsong, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist and medical retinal specialist who cares for patients with complex diseases of the retina. He is fellowship trained in medical retina and provides advanced care for conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, vitreous floaters, and retinal tears. Dr. Tsong graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the top 5 percent of his class with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, then went on to earn his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, followed by an ophthalmology residency at The George Washington University Medical Center, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in medical retina at the world-renowned Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles, affiliated with the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, reflecting his commitment to the highest standards of eye care throughout his career.
