Dr. Sofia Ribolla is a residency-trained optometrist who provides a wide range of primary care and specialty eye care services, including vision testing, eyeglasses prescriptions, soft and scleral contact lens fittings, and the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. She is particularly interested in ocular surface diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, and myopia management. She also provides pre-operative testing and follow-up care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.

She received her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and her Doctorate from the SUNY College of Optometry, where she graduated with Honors. Dr. Ribolla has been inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Additionally, she also completed a Master of Visual Science, focusing on dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction in the pediatric population. She has published several posters recognized by the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Ribolla completed her residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she focused on ocular disease, emphasizing vitreoretinal disease and glaucoma management. In addition to her residency, she completed multiple clinical externships in Philadelphia, Connecticut, and New York. She trained with cataract and glaucoma surgeons, performed specialty contact lens fittings, and managed binocular disorders.

Dr. Ribolla is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut State Optometric Association. She enjoys learning other languages, traveling, taking Pilates classes, and spending time with family and friends.
